Now I Know

I remember not long ago when I'd witness a couple bickering and see how angry one or both of them got for something I believed to be quite trivial. I have also been inside a ladies room for countless minutes with a friend who was disgruntled about something and I couldn't understand what the big fuss was about. I always looked at these people and thought 'man.. why are they getting so fussy over these dumb little things?'. In my head I always thought they were dumb reasons to argue and thought that maybe both parties involved were being a little sensitive.

After being in a serious relationship for a year I now know very much about these 'nothing fights' and believe me... they're definitely about something. I am guilty of participating in the ever so notorious nothing fights. I am also guilty of letting myself get caught up in the absolute stupidity that is the nothing fight instead of just addressing the real issue at hand. There is just something about being with someone for a prolonged period of time that warrants these sort of things, a friction if you will. I cant really speak for anyone else but to me... the nothing fights get old and quick. I prefer to just deal with the real problem instead of beating around the bush about things. Thats when the nothing fights stop and the real arguments and debates begin. You can't expect to agree with everything the other person agrees with but you can work together to create a compromise. I'm HUGE on compromising. Otherwise the equilibrium is thrown off, and no one wants that.

I am in no way an expert on this sort of thing but I am definitely learning alot, everyday. And each time a 'nothing fight' happens it gets easier and easier to solve. Lets see what today will teach me. LMAO
